First off, before we get into everything you need to know regarding Bill Belichick's contract, let's take a moment to give Inside Carolina their flowers.

While multiple media members tried to "report" the news much later, Inside Carolina was on it from the word-go. Another friendly reminder to UNC fans: if you aren't subscribed to them, you're missing out!

Now, let's get back to business here.

Bill Belichick has agreed to a deal to become the UNC football program's head coach. Details of the said agreement have been revealed, courtesy of Brendan Marks of The Athletic.

Belichick's deal is expected to be a three-year deal worth approximately $30 million dollars. The annual value is anticipated to be around $10 million per-season.

While there was speculation that the Board of Trustees would approve the deal on Wednesday, it's being reported that the meeting will be held on Thursday morning at 9:00 AM, as it is expected to be simply a formality to officially wrap this process up.

As part of the agreement, it also looks as if the University of North Carolina will significantly boost its NIL funding. In fact, it is expected to be five times more than it was this season.
