When it rains, it pours.

If things weren't bad enough for the UNC football program, it keeps getting worse. Starting cornerback Thad Dixon will now be out for an extended period of time, which was first confirmed by the team at Inside Carolina.
The injury appeared to be suffered during the second quarter of the Tar Heels' blowout loss to the Clemson Tigers this past weekend. After recording an interception, one that was overturned after further review, Dixon landed on his left arm and was seen celebrating. As he celebrated, the former Washington Husky was then seen wincing and hobbling before essentially finding his way back to the ground once he got to the sidelines.
That was the last we saw of Dixon on Saturday afternoon and could potentially be the last we've seen from him for some time.
Dixon is legitimately one of the lone bright spots that this program currently has, and now won't be in action for an unknown amount of time. Given the program's struggles, it takes a bad defensive unit and makes them 10x worse, as Dixon is probably the lone player on this roster who has any chance of being selected among the 2026 NFL Draft class.
At this point, it's a very valid question to ask: "when will this all end?"
Sadly, we're still very much in the middle of the current downpour that has impacted the UNC football program.
