The UNC women's basketball program defeated North Carolina A&T by a score of 66-47 on Tuesday night in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Behind a balanced scoring attack, the Tar Heels were able to pull away early on, using a 17-3 run to extend the lead to 14 points heading into half time.

Last game, Lexi Donarski claimed our "Tar Heel of the Game Award." This time, one of the younger Tar Heels claimed the title.

Laila Hull

Have a night Laila Hull!

The redshirt freshman scored a career-high 14 points, connecting on five of her eight shot attempts (including four made three pointers). Over 18 minutes of action, Hull also recorded five rebounds, two steals and a block to help guide the Tar Heels to victory.

After redshirting a season ago, Hull has been an under-the-radar type of player heading into the new season. Three games into her UNC women's basketball career, Hull is showing why the Tar Heels coaching staff recruited her in the first place, as she has the makings of being an impact player in Chapel Hill for many years to come.

Hull and the UNC women's basketball program are back in action on Friday night when they match up with No. 2 ranked UConn in Greensboro.
