Of all the brawls, the one between the UNC football program and NC State drew significant headlines. The Wolfpack attempted to place their flag on the UNC logo, but players like JJ Jones refused. The action led Jones to take the flag and throw it, as the two sides had to be physically drawn apart due to the on-field scruffle.
