The names of invitees for the 2026 NBA Draft Combine have been released, but unfortunately, Seth Trimble was not among those names.
After four seasons at North Carolina, Trimble entered the transfer portal this offseason to keep his options open in case the NCAA changed its eligibility rules this summer. However, Trimble, along with other graduating seniors, are not likely to be grandfathered in, thus leading them to begin their respective professional basketball careers.
While Trimble wasn't among those initially invited to the NBA Draft Combine, there's still a chance that the former Tar Heel can earn a spot at the upcoming event.

Why UNC fans shouldn't be worried that Matt Able is headed to the NBA Draft Combine
What's important to note about this event is that a handful of top performers from this event are invited to compete in the NBA Draft Combine, extending their stay in Chicago for a longer period of time.
Trimble will look to showcase his skills while proving the doubters wrong. Tar Heel fans know exactly what he brings to the table: elite athleticism, high-level defensive skills, and a strong ability to get to the rim and create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. If he can showcase those skills during the upcoming event, no one would be surprised to see him earn a spot in the NBA Draft Combine.
There are a few former Tar Heels who were also invited to compete in the G League Combine. Elliot Cadeau, fresh off a national championship season (and Most Outstanding Player Award) is testing the NBA Draft waters and was invited to compete, and fellow former Tar Heel Cade Tyson (who had a bounce-back season at Minnesota) is also expected to be there in Chicago.
