Getting ice cream is always a slam dunk choice.

Seth Trimble is very familiar with slam dunks, having plenty of poster slams during his first three seasons with the UNC basketball program. Now, the rising senior will know a thing or two about the ice cream business as well, living out a dream to become an entrepreneur.

On his official Instagram account, Trimble announced that he is now an owner of the Ben & Jerry's store, located on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill.

While he's made a significant impact on the basketball court, the Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin native aims to make his stamp on the University of North Carolina in a variety of ways. One of those ways is to own a business on the most popular street in town, a spot where fellow Tar Heels (and visitors) can come and enjoy some of the best ice cream around.

With the new world of NIL, student-athletes are allowed to explore business ventures that interest them. Trimble has had a handful of teammates, including Armando Bacot, who have taken steps toward owning businesses or investing in certain companies or products, as it's now Trimble's turn to take that next step toward becoming an entrepreneur.

Let's remember: playing any sport is temporary. Most athletes struggle to find their passion once their playing career is over, but with the current landscape of college athletics, student-athletes are now encouraged to seek out other opportunities. While Trimble still has plenty of basketball left in the tank, making a move like this is a smart one for his future, as it wouldn't be a surprise to see him take ownership of other businesses as time goes on.

Next time you're in Chapel Hill, stop by Ben & Jerry's on Franklin Street to support Trimble's new business. You may just end up seeing the store's new owner if you stop on by!
