Seth Trimble has plenty of experience in big games throughout his college career.
Now a senior captain for the Tar Heels, Trimble knows he must play at an elite level for his team to have a chance against other elite teams. He has done just that this season, posting numbers that puts him in a category that features two former ACC legends.
Trimble joins some pretty impressive company
Over his last three games against AP Top 25 opponents, Trimble has recorded 20.7 points per game while shooting a staggering 72.4% from the floor. To no surprise, North Carolina is 3-0 in those games, as the senior guard has provided a huge boost for his team in primetime moments.
In fact, only two other ACC players have put up those numbers in a three-game span against AP top-ranked foes. You definitely have heard of the other two players on this list.

3-0 record
In the last 30 seasons, only 2 other ACC players have put up those numbers in a 3-game span against AP ranked teams: Duke's Carlos Boozer (2001-02) and Wake Forest's Tim Duncan (1996-97). pic.twitter.com/RKDs946Ik5
Yes, Trimble now joins an exclusive club that features himself, Tim Duncan (Wake Forest), and Carlos Boozer (Duke). It's always a good thing when you're grouped with a Hall of Famer and another standout who played 13 seasons in the NBA, earning two All-Star Game appearances.
But wait, there's more!
Yes, being in the same company as Duncan and Boozer is cool. However, UNC fans might like this tidbit a little more, given it ties into North Carolina basketball history.
Seth Trimble is only the third UNC player to score 30 or more points against Louisville.

Joining his coach Marcus Paige and Hall of Famer Bob McAdoo.
Sherrell McMillan of Inside Carolina provided this amazing stat about 30+ scorers against Louisville. Only three Tar Heels have ever accomplished this, and we already know Trimble is the latest addition to the list.
The other two? None other than Hall of Famer Bob McAdoo and someone Trimble knows very well: former Tar Heel and current assistant coach Marcus Paige.
Now, Paige still has some bragging rights, as he scored 32 points (and connected on all 11 of his free-throw attempts!). If Trimble connected on a few more of his attempts at the line, he would've surpassed his coach's scoring total the night he also led the Tar Heels to a victory over the Cardinals.
