Without a doubt, Seth Trimble is a true fan favorite in Chapel Hill.

When news about his injury, a broken bone in his left forearm, surfaced on Sunday night, fans of the UNC basketball program were devastated to hear that the Tar Heels' senior leader would be sidelined for an extended period of time.

Trimble, now in his final season as a Tar Heel, is undoubtedly more upset than all of us combined, but he isn't letting this setback keep him from being positive for his team.

On Instagram, Trimble shared a pair of emotional posts that will definitely draw at the heartstrings of Tar Heels fans across the country.

The first was on his Instagram story, in which he posted a group shot with the team (a picture taken on Friday following the victory over No. 19-ranked Kansas). His caption did all the talking:

"My bruddas got me while I'm down. I'll see ya'll in a few weeks."

His next post came on his actual Instagram feed, one that featured a variety of pictures that have been taken of him during the early portion of the 2025-2026 season. You can view his Instagram post here.

Trimble's caption on this post essentially reiterated what his Instagram story said: don't worry, he'll be back soon.

"7 ain’t goin stay down I’ll be back soon 🤞🏽"

This is another reminder of what type of leader Seth Trimble is. While this news is devastating for him, he's still providing a positive mindset not only for his return, but is showing immense confidence in his teammates to get the job done in his absence.

While No. 7 won't be able to suit up for an extended period of time, you can bet that he'll be right on the sidelines, cheering his teammates on while encouraging them with some wisdom and knowledge that he's accumulated during his college career.

One thing is for sure: we all can't wait for Seth Trimble to return to action for the UNC basketball program.
