SEC biased media personality blasts Bill Belichick ahead of first season at UNC

It shouldn't surprise anyone that this guy had nothing good to say about a non-SEC program.

Find someone who loves to hate on anything non-SEC related as much as Paul Finebaum does.

Making a guest appearance on ESPN's "Get Up," Finebaum was asked about what his expectations are for Bill Belichick and the UNC football program.

To no surprise, the media personality sets the bar very low, blasting Belichick in the process.

Here's exactly what he had to say regarding Belichick and the Tar Heels.

"They are very low for this reason. He doesn't have a very good team. Although he's in a workable league, I think he can win seven games, maybe steal one to get eight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is not Deion Sanders coming back to college for a couple of obvious reasons.

Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. He doesn't have anyone like that.

Therefore, the eyes of the nation will be there on opening night, maybe a second or third time, but it's not going to be must-see TV. And as far as Bill Belichick, I followed his career.

The end of his career was a disaster. He didn't win a playoff game. In his last five seasons, he had losing seasons three out of the last five. It was a mess at the end. He should have been fired earlier than he was. And this is just trying to make good. He's trying to impress his girlfriend, he's trying to make some money, and ultimately, I don't think it's going to work."

For starters, how does Finebaum know the UNC football program doesn't have a good team? It's impossible to predict, given there's 70 newcomers to this year's squad.

In terms of the comparison to Deion Sanders, sure, North Carolina doesn't have a big name like Travis Hunter. However, what did Sanders do with his "dynamic duo," that was so impressive?

A below .500 season and a 9-4 record the following year with nothing to show for it doesn't impress anyone.

The only valid point he makes is that his tenure with New England should've ended earlier. All good things come to an end, and Belichick's tenure lasted longer than it probably should've due to everything he did for the franchise. It's difficult to just run someone like that out of town.

Then, Finebaum shows his jealousy that Belichick was able to attract a much younger female to date him. Honestly, that storyline is getting old, as it's a lazy take by the media to try to throw negative media toward the UNC football program.

From now on, let's just have Paul Finebaum talk about SEC-related topics. Any other conference he talks about gets bashed due to his obsession with the Southeastern Conference.
