That's how long Armando Bacot was second on the UNC basketball program's all-time leading scorers list.
The big fella has been dethroned by his former teammate, RJ Davis, who jumped him on the all-time scorers list during Saturday afternoon's contest against Notre Dame.
It took a little longer than expected, given Davis only had two points in the first half. However, it didn’t take him long once the second half began, scoring on a floater on the Tar Heels first possession of the second half.
Davis continues to climb up the record books in his fifth and final season as a Tar Heel. Recently, Davis became the first UNC basketball player ever to record 300+ made three-point field goals, passing his current coach Marcus Paige for the most-all time in program history. Now, Davis secures the second spot on the all-time scorers list and moves up to No. 8 overall in Atlantic Coast Conference's record books.
Yes, we're well-aware that Davis had a fifth season of eligibility to work with. Regardless, it shouldn't take away from what he has been able to accomplish during his collegiate career, as he's made the most of the opportunities that were presented to him.
