UNC basketball star RJ Davis has been named to the Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 Watch List, the Los Angeles Athletic Club announced on Tuesday.

Chosen by a poll of national college basketball experts based on their performances during the 2024-25 season thus far, the list is comprised of 25 student-athletes who are front-runners for the Wooden Award, presented annually to the nation's most outstanding player. Davis is no stranger to being on this list, as the graduate student is regarded among the country's top players.

While he hasn't shot the ball at the level that he's shown in the past, Davis has still be a productive force for the UNC basketball program. Leading up to the Tar Heels clash with SMU, Davis was averaging 17.7 points, 4.1 assists and 4.0 rebounds per-game. His best outing came on November 25 against Dayton, a game in which the Tar Heels leading scorer put together a 30-point performance en route to a historical comeback victory over Dayton in the Maui Invitational.

Davis has etched his name into the UNC basketball record books, claiming sole possession of the program record for most career three-points. He also passed former teammate Armando Bacot for second on the all-time scoring list, as he continues to move up the ACC's all-time scorers list as well.

The White Plains, New York native has made a name for himself during his time in Chapel Hill and hopes to close out his UNC basketball career in style.
