Drake Maye has been absolutely cooking early on to start his sophomore season with the New England Patriots.

Among those from his draft class, not many (if any at all) can say that they've been as good as Maye has been through the first quarter of the 2025 season. In fact, Maye is on a historic pace, one that will put him in the same company as some legendary quarterbacks.

On his regular radio show, Rich Eisen raved about Maye's progression, telling us all you need to know about just how good Maye has been.

"Drake Maye has 100% taken the biggest leap in playing the best out of anybody that was drafted in the first round of last year's draft, without a doubt."

Of course, the easy comparison (given which franchise he's playing for) is Tom Brady, arguably the greatest quarterback to ever compete on the gridiron. However, Maye isn't just joining Brady among this elite company: there are plenty of mentions of other studs that have accomplished some of the same personal accolades.

Any time you're associated with the likes of Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, and Kurt Warner, it's safe to say you're among elite company.

Eisen raving about Maye is the hype that the former UNC football star should be receiving from fans nationwide. While New England's early schedule hasn't been the toughest in terms of strength of schedule, you have to give credit where credit is due: Maye has been fantastic leading the Patriots' offensive attack.
