Your first look at the UNC women's basketball program's 2024-2025 conference schedule
It's here! It's finally here!
The Atlantic Coast Conference FINALLY released the ACC schedule for upcoming college basketball season, as the women's schedule was the first to be revealed.
We now know what's in store for Courtney Banghart and the UNC women's basketball program.
As we learned on Monday, conference play begins for the Tar Heels on December 15 when they host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in a Saturday afternoon contest. Conference play rolls full steam ahead on December 29 when the Tar Heels travel to Miami to close out the calendar year.
Some important ACC games at Carmichael Arena include Notre Dame (January 5), Duke (January 9), Virginia Tech (February 13), NC State (February 16) and Virginia (March 2). North Carolina will travel to take on all three newcomers to the ACC, as SMU (January 16) will set the stage for the Tar Heels' west coast trip two weeks later to Cal (January 30) and Stanford (February 2).
The schedule at the back-end doesn't feature many games at home. Courtney Banghart and the Tar Heels will travel for six of their final 9 games, as the Tar Heels will certainly be battle-tested early and often throughout their 2024-2025 schedule.
Non-conference play will be challenging and conference play won't be much easier, as the UNC women's basketball program will see some very good teams along the road.
I don't know about you, but I'm already ready for tip-off.
