On Wednesday, the UNC basketball program welcomed its three incoming freshman to campus as they officially began their college careers.

There's plenty of excitement surrounding this trio, especially the arrival of five-star Ian Jackson. The Bronx, New York native was one of the most highly sought-after prospects in the Class of 2024, as he was ranked by 247Sports Composite as the No. 8-ranked player in the class.

Now that he's officially arrived on campus, Jackson has been posting a bit on social media. From posting the Dean Smith Center on his Instagram story to going live in what looked to be the team's locker room, we did find out some information on what jersey number the talented freshman will be rocking.

As capturing during his Instagram live video, Jackson confirmed that he will be wearing No. 11. The number was last worn by D'Marco Dunn during the 2022-2023 season.

Some notable UNC basketball players have donned the No. 11, including Larry Brown and Brice Johnson. Jackson hopes to be the next great Tar Heel to wear the jersey number, as he has the potential to make an immediate impact this upcoming season.

Now that Jackson's number seems to be official, we're still waiting on some more jersey decisions from some key players. As we don't know the numbers that fellow freshmen Drake Powell and James Brown will wear, we also have yet to hear what number incoming transfers Cade Tyson and Ven Allen-Lubin will sport as well.

Things like this may seem small, but they add to the excitement of watching the newcomers officially compete at North Carolina. As always, the future seems to look very bright in Chapel Hill, as Jackson hopes that his legacy with the No. 11 is one that fans remember for quite some time.
