UNC Women's Basketball standout reaches individual scoring milestone
Although the majority of her points came during her time at Iowa State, Lexi Donarski's most recent scoring milestone came as a member of the UNC women's basketball program.
Donarski reached the 1,500-point scoring mark in the Tar Heels first half action against the Pittsburgh Panthers. Fittingly, Donarski reached the milestone by knocking down a three-pointer, the area which is considered her strength among her offensive skillset.
This current UNC women's basketball roster features some elite scorers, as three active players have scored at least 1,300 career points. Both Donarski and Deja Kelly (1,700+ points and counting) have surpassed the 1,500 career scoring mark, while Alyssa Ustby is getting closer to that mark by the day.
Donarski has been a huge addition to this year's squad, as she has been an impact player on both sides of the floor. She's known for her elite defense, but she has definitely proven that she can be a knockdown shooter, especially from beyond the arc.
The good news for the UNC women's basketball program is that Donarski can return for another season in 2024-2025. If she elects to return for another year, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Donarski push to the 2,000-point scoring mark before her college career comes to a close.
