UNC Women's Basketball releases jersey numbers for 2024-2025 season

We're still a few months away from the start of the 2024-2025 college basketball season, but it's never too early to look ahead!

The UNC women's basketball program announced its roster for the upcoming season. With this announcement came the reveal of the jersey numbers for each player, as showcased in the below social media post:

For starters, the returners will keep their original jersey numbers. Those players (along with their respective numbers) are as follows:

Alyssa Ustby- No. 1
Laila Hull- No. 4
Maria Gakdeng- No. 5
Reniya Kelly- No. 10
Kayla McPherson- No. 11
Sydney Barker- No. 15
Lexi Donarski- No. 20
Ciera Toomey- No. 21
Indya Nivar- No. 24

Italics indicates the player is returning following a redshirt season

For the newcomers, lets start off with the freshmen, as three incoming freshmen will look to make their mark on the program starting this upcoming season.

Lanie Grant- No. 0
Jordan Zubich- No. 3
Blanca Thomas- No. 34

Finally, we have the transfer additions, as Courtney Banghart and her staff have done a great job at bringing in some very talented players from the transfer portal to Chapel Hill.

Grace Townsend- No. 2
Trayanna Crisp- No. 14

The roster will look a bit different than it did during the 2023-2024 season, but expectations are still very high for this very versatile and talented group that the UNC women's basketball program has put together.
