No, this is not a reposted article. Courtney Banghart and the UNC women's basketball program simply continue to be strong presences in recruiting some of the top Class of 2025 talents available.

The latest recruiting news involves Taissa Queiroz, who revealed her top six finalists to Talia Goodman of On3. Along with the UNC women's basketball program, Queiroz is also still considering Colorado, Gonzaga, Kansas State, Utah, and Washington.

Queiroz is a 5-foot-11 international student from Brazil who attends Cardinal Newman High School in California. A four-star recruit (according to ESPN HoopGurlz), Queiroz's finalists mainly consume of west-coast teams, but it's encouraging to see that the East Coast location didn't hurt the Tar Heels in their pursuit of her.

This recruitment is moving rather quickly. as she has already taken four visits thus far. The last two visits on her recruitment tour are coming over the next few weeks, as she's scheduled to visit Colorado from August 28-30 and proceed to make her way to Chapel Hill from September 6-8. Her commitment is expected to occur during the last week of September.

Queiroz broke down her recruitment in an interview with Goodman, as she noted that even though the Tar Heels are relatively new in her recruitment, the relationship she's building with the coaches is going well. The perk of having the last visit on her schedule could also be a deciding factor, as that last chance to impress her may make the difference in her final decision.

Give credit to Courtney Banghart and the UNC women's basketball program's coaching staff: they have done a tremendous job in putting the program square in the mix for some of the top high school talents available, regardless of their graduating class.

Now, we'll have to wait and see if Queiroz becomes the latest member of the Class of 2025 to become a Tar Heel.
