Mack Brown and the UNC football program always make a strong effort to keep the top in-state products home, as they've now extended an offer to one of the best prospects the Class of 2026 has to offer.

Zavion Griffin-Haynes announced on social media that he has received an offer from the Tar Heels. A Rolesville, North Carolina native, Griffin-Haynes is currently viewed as a four-star prospect by 247Sports, as he ranks No. 8 overall in the Class of 2026 state of North Carolina rankings.

The offers have started to roll in for Griffin-Haynes, as schools such as NC State, Penn State, Miami, Virginia Tech, Tennessee and West Virginia have extended offers over the last few months. With the way his recruitment is brewing, expect a ton more offers to come his way before its all said and done, as Griffin-Haynes is a prospect that is certainly on the rise.

The UNC football program has put an emphasis on recruiting help on the defensive front, as it has now extended offers to 12 players who classify as defensive linemen or edge rushers. Three of the four edge rushers who have received offers from the UNC football program (including Griffin Haynes) reside in North Carolina.

There is plenty of time left in the recruitment process for this respective class, but the Tar Heels are wasting no time trying to convince the state's top products to stay home and compete at the college level in Chapel Hill.
