UNC Football program announces their 2024 ACC Kickoff representatives
You know the college football season is right around the corner when the annual ACC Kickoff event is just a few days away!
On July 25, the Atlantic Coast Conference will meet in Charlotte, as the programs (both old and new) will send representatives to speak to the media.
Mack Brown and the UNC football program will be well-represented, as five current Tar Heels will make the short trip to Charlotte.
The program announced that Omarion Hampton, Conner Harrell, Kaimon Rucker, Power Echols and Max Johnson will represent them at this year's event.
To no surprise, the trio of Hampton, Rucker and Echols are involved, as all three are set to be big-time contributors once again for the UNC football program. It's interesting to see Harrell and Johnson, who are competing for the starting quarterback job, both being invited to participate.
Of course, the Tar Heels can't bring their whole roster, but Bryson Nesbit and Alijah Huzzie are two student-athletes who likely were in the mix to attend this event. Bringing two quarterbacks limits the amount of spots available, but both players will have ample time to speak to the media this season, especially if they continue to play the sport at a high level.
If that's any indication, it seems as if the UNC football program's starting quarterback job is very much up for grabs.
The ACC is going through a transition period as they are welcoming in three new schools to the mix. For North Carolina, the last few seasons have started strong and struggled down the stretch, as Mack Brown and his team hope to put together a full season of success during the 2024 campaign.
