Former UNC football standout Dyami Brown is working toward solidifying a role within the Washington Commanders offense and did a great job of proving his value in the team's preseason opener.

Jayden Daniels, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, was the main focus in the Commanders preseason game against the New York Jets, as everyone wanted to see what the former LSU quarterback could do in his first NFL action. His first completed pass was a memorable one, as he connected with Brown for a 42-yard gain (as seen in the above clip).

Overall, Brown finished with three receptions for 55 yards in limited action. For his efforts, Brown was the highest graded Commanders player according to Pro Football Focus.

Things look a lot different in Washington this season, as the franchise is going through some big-time changes. From a new head coach to a projected rookie starting quarterback, it's a breath of fresh air for everyone as the look to get the franchise back on the winning track.

For Brown, the hope is that he can continue building on his success as he aims to prove that he should be relied upon in the Commanders passing game. Catches like the one seen above certainly help that case, as it definitely is a positive sign to see Daniels and Brown connecting early on in training camp.
