Coming off another strong week on the court, UNC basketball standout RJ Davis has earned the ACC Player of the Week Award.

Davis is no stranger to this award, as this is the third time he's earned it during the 2023-2024 season. Individual Tar Heels have earned this award on five different occasions this season (Davis' three, along with two from Armando Bacot), which serves as the most by any conference squad.

The White Plains, New York native was on a tear this week, averaging 30 points in the Tar Heels victories over Wake Forest and Florida State. Davis scored a career-high 36 points against the Demon Deacons, 23 of which came in the second half. His 36 points was the most scored by a Tar Heel since Brice Johnson's 39-point outing back on January 4, 2016.

Against the Seminoles, Davis scored 14 of his game-high 24 points in the second half to help the Tar Heels rally back from a 41-36 halftime deficit. His clutch shot with 44 seconds left gave the Tar Heels a four-point cushion, and his following three free throws in the final 29 seconds of play secured the victory.

Davis was very efficient in shooting the basketball, shooting 56.1% from the floor and 80% from the free-throw line in the two most recent victories. Not only has Davis been one of the best players in the ACC, but has put himself into the conversation among the elite players in all of the country.

RJ Davis and the UNC basketball program look to continue their success this week as they have another two-game slate. The week will begin on Tuesday at Georgia Tech and will wrap up with a highly-anticipated top-10 duel with rival Duke at the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill.
