Sports are always a great way for people to form a special bond that could ultimately last for a long time.

That's exactly what we saw from a recent Danny Green social media post, as some members of the 2008-2009 UNC basketball national championship squad got together for a reunion in Chapel Hill.

Before we discuss this further, can you believe it has been 15 years since that memorable squad captured the second National Championship in Roy Williams' career?!

Danny Green, Tyler Hansbrough, Deon Thompson, Marcus Ginyard and Marc Campbell, along with Williams, were in attendance for this special get-together, as the bond between these now former Tar Heels still holds true to this day.

Of course, the Carolina family runs strong, as a bond such as this isn't surprising for a program that prides itself on the concept of family. This is just another example of how the bond created on the court at the Dean Smith Center (and throughout the college experience at the University of North Carolina) is one that those who are a part of it seem to never let go of.

No matter where life takes them, Chapel Hill will always be home, as most former Tar Heels seem to truly enjoy coming back to their college roots to catch up with some old friends (and brothers).

I don't know about you, but I would love to hear the conversations that this crew had, as they probably talked about their current lives and took some time to reflect on the special things they were able to accomplish on the basketball court, especially during the 2008-2009 season.

Brothers. Tar Heels. National Champions. Three things that have bonded a group of men for the rest of their lives.
