And then there was eight.

Four-star Class of 2025 combo guard has narrowed his recruitment down to eight schools, as the UNC basketball program is still among the teams in the mix.

Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels are joined by Tennessee, UCONN, Kentucky, Syracuse Michigan, Duke and Auburn as the teams that Lewis is still considering.

The UNC basketball program are one of the more recent schools to jump into the mix, as they extended an offer to him on June 12. Just a little under a month later, the Tar Heels have been included in the narrow field, as the four-star talent is expected to take an official visit to Chapel Hill this fall on October 4.

Not many players have had their recruitment heat up as much as Lewis has over the last few weeks, as he's regarded as a top-35 player in the Class of 2025. With more schools taking notice of what he's capable of, don't be surprised to see him rise up the rankings before this recruiting cycle comes to a close.

North Carolina has yet to add any players from the Class of 2025, but they are very much in the mix for some of the class' top available talents, including Lewis. The hope is that multiple players from this very talented recruiting class decide to call Chapel Hill their future home starting next summer.
