If you've been following what the UNC basketball program is doing on the recruiting trail, it's likely that you haven't heard much about five-star Caleb Wilson.

One of the top five prospects in the Class of 2025, Wilson previously took an official visit to Chapel Hill, but there hasn't seemed to have been much traction with him and the Tar Heels as of late.

As his recruitment starts to heat up a bit, Wilson has cut his list of schools to 12, as the UNC basketball program remains in the mix for the time being.

Wilson revealed his top 12 to Joe Tipton of On3, as the Tar Heels are one of three ACC schools still in the mix. The 6-foot-9 forward is still considering the following schools: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Duke, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee, UCF, and USC.

In some cases, no news could be good news, as it's certain that Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels coaching staff are doing anything in their power to recruit this talented forward to Chapel Hill. However, in the world of social media, it's easy to overreact when a player doesn't necessarily speak about a particular program in an interview, as sometimes it becomes a case of reading too deep into things.

Now, based on the recent trend of speculation, the UNC basketball program may have sound ground to make up in order to win this recruiting battle. However, the good news is that they are still very much in the mix, as they aren't officially out until Wilson takes them out of contention.

With his recruitment gaining traction, expect Davis and the UNC basketball program to put the full-court press on as they hope to bring Caleb Wilson to Chapel Hill.
