UNC basketball legends call Caleb Love a "Tar Heel for Life"

Since he elected to enter the transfer portal after the end of the 2022-2023 season, a lot of people have criticized Caleb Love for how his UNC basketball tenure ended.

From the speculation of what went down inside the locker room to the Tar Heels failing to make the 2023 NCAA Tournament as a whole, Love took a lot of heat, and you can easily make the case that a lot of the criticism and hate was uncalled for.

Now, almost a year later, there are still people who like to talk negatively about Caleb Love. These individuals should take notice of what these two former national champions had to say, as the beliefs they share are what all Tar Heel fans should embrace.

On the latest episode of the Tidal League's "Run Your Race" Podcast, Justin Jackson started off by congratulating RJ Davis for surpassing Jackson's three-point field goals record. After Jackson finished congratulating Davis, Pinson chimed in to give a shoutout to Love, who is currently leading the Arizona Wildcats to the Sweet 16, as Pinson had some nice words to say about the former Tar Heel guard.

The one sentence that stood out the most is this one:

"At the end of the day both of y’all are Tar Heels for life in my eyes.”

Of course, there is a possibility that the UNC basketball program will see Love in the NCAA Tournament. Although all UNC basketball fans would be rooting for a Tar Heels' victory, there should be no hate or animosity towards Love in any way.

You can root for him to play well and for the Tar Heels to win. It won't hurt you.

It's time that everyone starts realizing that there shouldn't be any hate towards Caleb Love, as there's no doubt that he left it all out on the court each time he wore the Carolina Blue uniform.
