Before heading into ACC play to kick off the new year, Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program had the opportunity to experiment a bit during their blowout victory over Charleston Southern.

The Tar Heels were able to go deep into the bench, as every player on the roster saw action in some capacity. While Davis and his staff worked to manage the game, they also used the comfortable lead they built to take a look at some different lineups that we haven't seen yet this season.

Three of these lineup combinations provided some interesting looks, as we're here to discuss them all in further detail.

No. 1: A look into the future?

Lineup: Elliot Cadeau, Paxson Wojcik, Seth Trimble, Jae'Lyn Withers, Jalen Washington

Other than Wojcik, the other four players in this lineup combination could ultimately be back for the 2024-2025 season.

This lineup didn't feature any of the Tar Heels current top scoring threats, but it does provide them with athleticism as well as a strong defensive presence.

The effectiveness of this group is ultimately determined by offensive success. Washington has been effective shooting the basketball and Trimble has been knocking down his open looks, but the rest of the group will need to consistently make things happen in order for this group to work.

With Cadeau as the facilitator, this group has the potential to be a solid one. Is it one that we'd advise to use for large spurts? Probably not. But in the case of foul trouble or needing to get some key guys a quick breather, it's not the worst combination available by any means.
