Fans of the UNC basketball program have been anxious to find out what the future plans are for Harrison Ingram.

On Saturday afternoon, Ingram officially announced his plans.

After one season with the UNC basketball program, Harrison Ingram has officially declared for the 2024 NBA Draft. Based on his social media post, it doesn't appear that Ingram intends on maintaining his collegiate eligibility.

Ingram was a tremendous addition for Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels last offseason, as he brought toughness, character and dedication to Chapel Hill. He spent his first two collegiate seasons at Stanford but really blossomed as a Tar Heel, as his overall numbers simply increased across the board.

The Tar Heels tasked Ingram will being a "stretch four," a position that was a bit different from what he originally played. He accepted the challenge with open arms, as he not only improved as a rebounder but was crucial in helping provide space on the floor for not only himself but for his teammates as well.

The moment was never too big for Ingram, as some of his best performances as a Tar Heel came against the program's biggest rivals. Tar Heel fans will always remember his first game in the Duke/North Carolina rivalry as well as his outstanding performance in Raleigh against NC State.

His character is something that will always be remembered, as you can tell that he truly embraced being a Tar Heel. Although his love for North Carolina is evident, now is the time for him to take a chance on himself and pursue his dream, as his season in Chapel Hill helped put him in that position.

This is a big, but expected, loss for the UNC basketball program. Needless to say, he will be tough to replace.
