Prior to the start of his senior year in high school, Ian Jackson made a significant change.

Instead of staying at Cardinal Hayes, Jackson transferred to Our Savior Lutheran School, a move that would allow him to compete in the Overtime Elite League.

Playing for the OTE's Jelly Fam, the move paid off for the future UNC basketball star, as Jackson was named a first-team All-OTE recipient for this season.

Jackson is one of five players to earn first-team honors, as he's joined by Eli Ellis (South Carolina commit), Karter Knox (undecided), John Bol (Ole Miss) and Rakease Passmore (Kansas).

Although Jelly Fam finished the season with an 8-9 record, Jackson put together a outstanding senior season. The future Tar Heel averaged 23.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game, as he competed on a nightly basis against some of the best high school talent around. His scoring output was the second-most among Overtime Elite qualifiers, trailing only Ellis' 33.4 points per night.

In case you didn't get a chance to watch Jackson compete on the OTE circuit, here's some highlights for your entertainment.

Jackson is a tremendous athlete who has thrived while competing against some of the nation's top talents. Based on what he's shown throughout his high school career, it's safe to say that playing for the UNC basketball program is something he'll be more than ready for come this fall.

Fans of the UNC basketball program have been looking forward to his arrival on campus, as Jackson, along with fellow five-star Drake Powell, are two incoming freshmen who have the potential to make an impact as soon as they arrive on campus.

There are questions as to what the rest of the roster will look like at this point, but with a guy like Ian Jackson coming in, you have to be excited about the possibilities.
