The talk around the ACC has been the "down year" that the conference is currently going through.

At this point in the 2023-2024 season, it's quite concerning that only two teams are considered to be firmly in the mix for the NCAA Tournament. Other than North Carolina and Duke (who have a pretty big meeting this upcoming weekend), every other ACC team is considered to be on the outside looking in, as the ACC might ultimately struggle to get more than two teams in if the status quo remains the same.

The conference has essentially been beating up on each other, which isn't good when you're looking at things from a resume standpoint. Heading into this week's action, 9 ACC teams have over .500 records, but seven of those teams currently have three or more conference losses to their name.

After another crazy week of ACC action, there are quite a bit of shakeups in this week's rankings. Although the top spots may not have changed, it's safe to say that there's plenty of movement among the pack.

We won't make you wait any longer: here's our ACC men's basketball rankings for the week of January 29.
