UNC Basketball: ACC Men's Basketball rankings for the week of January 8
The Keeping It Heel team is providing our weekly ACC rankings for men's college basketball. Where does the UNC basketball program currently stand?
. . 14. 1-3 in ACC Play. . . 443. . 6-9 Record. Notre Dame
If it wasn't for a DJ Burns buzzer beater, the Fighting Irish wouldn't be this low in this week's rankings.
However, almost doesn't count, as Notre Dame hasn't had the best start to the 2023-2024 season. It doesn't help that their lone ACC win came against Virginia, a team that has an 11-4 record to date but has some very ugly losses on their resume.
The good news for the Fighting Irish is that they'll have a chance to move up in the next few weeks. There are a few games we think they can potentially win over the next few weeks, as these games will help determine if this initial ranking is spot on or if it needs some adjusting in a positive way over time.
