The 2023-2024 season has not gotten off to a good start for Kenny Payne and the Louisville Cardinals, as they are the only team in the ACC that doesn't have a conference victory under their belt yet.
Louisville has dropped ACC contests to Virginia Tech, Virginia and Pittsburgh, as all three have been decided by seven points or more. Although they showed some flashes in non-conference action, the Cardinals haven't beaten an opponent yet that would impress you.
Unfortunately, the schedule doesn't get easier, as the Cardinals will face a gauntlet of games, starting with a trip to Miami followed by a home contest against NC State on Saturday afternoon.
Unless they can pull off a signature win this week, it might be difficult for the Cardinals to get out of this spot in the rankings moving forward.
