UNC Basketball: ACC Men's Basketball rankings for the week of January 8

Before you go on and say, "OF COURSE NORTH CAROLINA IS NO. 1 ON A UNC-INSPIRED WEBSITE!" Just hear why I have the Tar Heels in the top spot.

For starters, there's not a team in the conference who has faced a tougher schedule up to this point. The Tar Heels have played six ranked games, going 4-2 in those contests.

To add to that, the Tar Heels are 3-0 with two Quad 1 road wins in ACC play? Can you name any other team that has that up to this point?

The Tar Heels will prove whether or not they belong in the top spot or not over the next couple of weeks, as a huge matchup at NC State is looming this week. At the current moment, it's hard to place anyone above the Tar Heels on the list, but hey, every team will try to improve its case before our next edition drops next week!
