10-6 Record. . 1-4 in ACC Play. 12. BC. . . . 431.

Another team that saw a drop in its previous ranking. The Eagles found their way into the top 10 in the initial rankings, coming in at No. 9 last week. However, the knock on Boston College is they don't have a signature win, and they faced two teams last week. One team was ranked behind them, and one was ranked ahead of them, and the Eagles lost both games.

Granted, both were on the road, and we've already discussed how difficult winning on the road in college basketball can be. However, to earn respect in these rankings and in college basketball, teams have to pick up some road wins here and there. The Eagles going 0-2 hurt their ranking, especially dropping a game to Syracuse, who was ranked behind the Eagles at No. 10 last week.

Boston College travels to Notre Dame in a must-win game to keep their ranking next week and will have the opportunity to play North Carolina at home on Saturday. If the Eagles go 2-0 this week, they will be certain to climb back into the top 10.
