UNC Baseball: The official 2024 ACC Tournament schedule has been released

The field for the 2024 ACC Tournament is set, and the schedule for the upcoming event has been released!

The UNC baseball program earned the No. 1 overall seed in this year's tournament, as they are joined by Wake Forest and Pittsburgh in Pool A.

After securing a series victory over Duke on Saturday, head coach Scott Forbes spoke about the Diamond Heels' preference to play Thursday and Friday. Keeping in mind the regular rotation days for his two top starters, Jason DeCaro and Shea Sprague, Forbes wanted to keep things as normal as possible in terms of scheduling, especially for his pitching staff.

The Tar Heels got their wish, as they'll kick off pool play on Thursday afternoon against Pittsburgh. That game is slated to begin at 3:00 PM EST in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The UNC baseball program will return to the field on Friday night for a primetime matchup with the Demon Deacons.

For the Diamond Heels, the good news is that they've had success against both teams during the regular season. North Carolina picked up three-game sweeps over each opponent, as the hope is that the success against them will continue into postseason action.

If the Diamond Heels are able to advance past pool play, they will compete in the semifinals on Saturday. The ACC Tournament title game is slated for Sunday afternoon (with first pitch set for noon).

The UNC baseball program put together an outstanding regular season, finishing with a 41-12 record. Their impressive record, as well as winning the ACC regular season title, have them in line to host the upcoming NCAA Tournament as well.

It's postseason time for the UNC baseball program, as the job is far from finished for the boys from Chapel Hill.
