Adjust your schedules accordingly: we have College World Series scheduling information!

Scott Forbes and the UNC baseball program will play in the opening game of the 2024 College World Series as they take on Virginia in a battle between two ACC foes. First-pitch for the game in Omaha, Nebraska is slated for 2:00 PM EST, while Tennessee and Florida State will battle it out in the nightcap at 7:00 PM EST.

In case you need a friendly reminder of the last time the Diamond Heels opened up the College World Series, Pat James is here to remind us of the longest (literally) game we all had to witness.

Of course, the remainder of the schedule (and opponents) are determined by each outcome. Similiar to what you saw in the Chapel Hill Regional, if you win, you put yourself in a better position to succeed.

If you lose a game, you automatically put yourself in a win or go home situation.

With a win, the UNC baseball program would move on to the winner's bracket game on Sunday night at 6:00 PM EST. A loss against Virginia would mean that the Diamond Heels would play a Sunday afternoon elimination game and would have to win another game on Tuesday before clinching a spot in the bracket finals.

Eight teams remain, as the UNC baseball program aspires to be the last one standing on the final day of the 2024 College World Series. It won't be easy, as the other seven teams are here for a reason as well, but this team has proven all season long that they are more than ready for the challenge.

Get your vacation/personal days in at work (or, if need a sick note, we'll serve as your doctor for the day!) so you can watch the Diamond Heels compete in the 2024 College World Series opener!
