Ahead of this weekend's opening round of the NCAA Tournament, the UNC baseball program has announced its probable starting rotation.

Head coach Scott Forbes confirmed there will be no changes to what we've seen from the Diamond Heels, as freshman Jason DeCaro, who has slotted into the team's Friday night starter role, will get the ball in the opener against LIU. Left-hander Shea Sprague is tabbed to pitch on Saturday against Wofford or LSU, while Aidan Haugh is in line to start on Sunday.

Of course, fans have speculated that Forbes could elect to mix up his rotation, as he could have elected to save DeCaro for a potential battle with LSU on Saturday. However, Forbes is sticking with his rotation, as the continuity seems to be the driving force toward the decision.

It's easy to look ahead, but it's vital to focus on the present as well. The Diamond Heels' opener against LIU is equally as important, as the Tar Heels are focused on starting the tournament with a win.

DeCaro has developed into the team's best starter, as he'll be ready for the challenge of pitching in the NCAA Tournament opener. Sprague is a crafty veteran who isn't intimidated by the big stage, as he'll be ready to face whichever opponent ends up being matchup up with the Tar Heels on Saturday.

The UNC baseball program kicks off the NCAA Tournament on Friday night at Boshamer Stadium. First-pitch for the matchup between North Carolina and LIU is set for 6:00 PM EST.
