Shortly after the UNC baseball program defeated West Virginia to clinch their ticket to the 2024 College World Series, Scott Forbes and a trio of Diamond Heel players spoke to the media.

Of course, this is common procedure following games, especially of this magnitude, as reporters wanted to hear from some of the Tar Heels' key contributors.

However, what happened during the post game conference is something that no one saw coming!

While freshman right-hander Jason DeCaro fielded a question, noise began to breakout in the background. Scott Forbes and Vance Honeycutt figured out what it was and started to chuckle, while Dalton Pence quickly realized what was going on and began to laugh himself.

That noise, you ask?

It was none other than the UNC baseball program's locker room singing "Take Me Home, Country Roads."

The players were enjoying their victory by blasting (and singing along to) a song that is often connected with West Virginia athletics. It just so happened that the celebration came during the post game conference, as the media was able to witness the moment as well as the reaction from the Tar Heels who were fielding questions.

You have to give DeCaro credit: how he got through his answer without breaking out in laughter is very impressive!

This moment just goes to show how close this group has become, as they were having fun celebrating a moment that they've worked so hard for.

Another goal is now checked off the list, but there's still plenty left to accomplish before the 2024 season comes to a close.
