After securing the ACC Coastal Division title this past weekend, the UNC baseball program has moved up into the top 10 in the latest D1 Baseball weekly rankings.

The Diamond Heels jumped four spots to No. 7 on this week's list, their highest ranking in this specific poll since the 2019 season.

North Carolina has been red-hot of late, having won six consecutive games and 10 of their last 11. Their most recent success came in their final ACC series this weekend, as the Diamond Heels flexed their offensive prowess to sweep the Louisville Cardinals. With the sweep, the Tar Heels secured the ACC Coastal Division regular season title while securing at least a tie of the conference's best record.

With postseason play on the horizon, the UNC baseball program picked a good time to start clicking. With one final week of regular season action to go, including a big-time three-game set in Durham against the No. 11-ranked Duke Blue Devils this upcoming weekend, the Tar Heels look to continue their stellar play as they prepare for the upcoming ACC Tournament.

Based on what we know now, the Tar Heels are in a great position to be a top-eight seed in the NCAA Tournament, as earning more home games would be huge for this team considering the amount of success they've had on their home field throughout the regular season.

If the UNC baseball program's offense continues to produce at an elite level, this group has the potential to make a run toward Omaha in a couple of weeks.
