The ACC Tournament has now come to a close, as one UNC baseball standout earned All-ACC Championship team honors.

After putting together two strong performances, outfielder Anthony Donofrio was the lone Tar Heel to make the all tournament squad.

In the Diamond Heels' first game of the tournament, Donofrio was tasked with not only hitting in the leadoff spot (a role typically fulfilled by star centerfielder Vance Honeycutt, who missed the game due to injury), but also filled in at Honeycutt's position defensively.

It didn't take long for Donofrio to make an impact, as he hit a leadoff home run (which was the first of four home runs for the Diamond Heels that inning), as the opening inning gave the Tar Heels a lead they would hold for the remainder of the game.

The solo home run wasn't the only offense Donofrio provided. In the fourth inning, the Massapequa, New York native drove home Jackson Van De Brake on an RBI single, and added another home run with a three-run shot in the ninth inning to firmly put the game out of reach.

In the Tar Heels' second, and final, game of the tournament, Donofrio added a pair of hits, as he finished with five hits, six RBIs and a pair of home runs.

Donofrio has been a tremendous addition to the UNC baseball program, as he's provided major contributions on both sides of the ball. From hitting .337 during the regular season to playing strong defense in right field, his presence has been a very timely addition for North Carolina, a program that possesses one of the best overall offenses in the country.
