There's no place like home for the UNC baseball program!
If you're playing against the UNC baseball program this season, you definitely don't want to face them on their home field!
The Diamond Heels secured a three-game sweep over Notre Dame on Sunday afternoon, a victory that made program history in the process.
With the win, North Carolina has won a program record 27 consecutive games at Boshamer Stadium, topping their previous streak of 26 straight home wins from March 30, 2017 to February 26, 2018. Its their 23rd consecutive win at home this season, a mark that also sets a new program best.
Defending your home field is always important, as the Diamond Heels have done a tremendous job of doing that this season. This group has enjoyed playing in front of the home crowd, as the good news is, they are scheduled for 11 more games at Boshamer Stadium before the regular season comes to a close!
With the three-game sweep over Notre Dame, the UNC baseball program will finish the weekend with a 29-7 overall record. Their 14-4 record in ACC play serves as the best record in the Coastal Division, as they lead the Virginia Tech Hokies by two games in the conference standings.
Give this group a ton of credit: when they are home, they take care of business on the field. The old saying holds very true for this team...
There's simply no place like home!
