After a successful week on the basketball court, both UNC basketball programs moved up in the most recent AP Top 25 polls.

Following a victory over previously-ranked No. 13 Louisville, Courtney Banghart and the UNC women's basketball program moved up three spots to No. 20.

The Tar Heels were the lone ACC team to move up this week, as the conference featured some of the biggest drops following last week's action. NC State fell three spots, while Louisville and Virginia Tech fell five spots, respectively. Florida State had the biggest drop of any top 25 squad, falling eight spots to No. 23.

Due to teams ahead of them suffering losses last week, Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program benefitted by jumping into the top three.

After being ranked No. 4 to kick off last week's action, the Tar Heels will hold down the No. 3 spot as they begin the new week. There jump isn't as big as the women's team, but it is significant as they are one step closer to being at the top of the list.

The key for both teams is simple: continue to win games. The polls are interesting for fans to keep an eye on, but for the players, coaches, and the program itself, the main goal is to keep the main objective in mind: take care of business on the court and let the rest figure itself out over time.

Hubert Davis and the UNC men's basketball team are back in action at home on Monday night, while Courtney Banghart and the UNC women's basketball team will host Miami on Thursday night at Carmichael Arena.
