There's been plenty of talk surrounding the Class of 2025, as college programs look to secure commitments some from the best prospects that the class has to offer.

Isaiah Denis is among the top-50 prospects in the class, as his recruitment has been heating up over the last couple of weeks. This includes the four-star guard earning an offer from the UNC basketball program, as the in-state product seems to be trending favorably towards the Tar Heels.

After including the Tar Heels in his top 10 list, Denis has scheduled an official visit to Chapel Hill on the weekend of September 28. This was first reported by Travis Branham of 247Sports.

While you may be saying, "Well, this kid has a handful of visits scheduled over the next few weeks!" there's reason to believe that the UNC basketball program may ultimately be the team to beat in this recruiting battle.

To add to his upcoming visit, Branham went on to say in a recent interview that he views the UNC basketball program as the favorite to ultimately land Denis.

"I feel good about where they stand with Isaiah Denis (No. 41 overall). He just picked up an offer from the Tar Heels. He's a North Carolina native. I've been told that when that offer came in, it quickly changed things in this recruitment. If I see a North Carolina visit scheduled, my ears will immediately perk. That is one that they would be able to bring home, if they choose to to go down that route."

While it's not over until the actual commitment is announced (and even then, it is subject to change!), the UNC basketball program has seemingly put itself in a strong position to keep one of the state's top available talents in the state of North Carolina.
