What a way to kick off the College World Series for the UNC baseball program!

441. Final. 2. 446. CWS. 3

The "Bosh Magic" has followed the Diamond Heels to Omaha, as they pulled off yet another postseason walk-off win.

There's plenty to talk about, but let's fast forward to the ninth inning.

Jackson Van De Brake, who was a starter on last year's squad, was called upon to pinch hit for Alberto Osuna to start the bottom half of the ninth.

There's a reason Van De Brake was named a captain for this year's squad, as when his number was called, he was more than ready for the challenge.

Van De Brake took a 2-2 offering and poked a line drive down the right field line for a double, setting up the Tar Heels in a great position with no outs.

Alex Madera followed with a sacrifice bunt, and Colby Wilkerson followed by popping out for the second out of the inning.

Of course, Vance Honeycutt was looming on deck, as the UNC baseball program's star was ready for another big-time spot.

After going hitless in his first four at-bats, Honeycutt delivered with an RBI single to left field to win it.

The offense did just enough to win it, but give credit to the pitching staff for really locking it down. Jason DeCaro had to work through some tough situations but still pitched into the fifth inning while only allowing one run. Matt Poston and Dalton Pence was big in relief, combining to finish the game while allowing just one run and one hit.

What a huge victory for the UNC baseball program as they advance to face the winner of Friday night's contest between Tennessee and Florida State on Sunday at 7:00 PM EST.

At this point, we can confirm that the "Bosh Magic" has traveled alongside the UNC baseball program for this trip to Omaha!
