Last season didn't end as the UNC basketball program hoped it would in general, let alone how it impacted the individuals on the team.

After playing a season-low 11 minutes (largely due to Alabama deciding to allow him and Elliot Cadeau open space to shoot the basketball), Trimble went into the early portion of the offseason thinking he needed a change.

He, as so many other student athletes have done, entered his name in the transfer portal, but it took him essentially two weeks to realize that he belongs in Chapel Hill.

Heading into his junior season, Trimble has a lot to prove, as he spoke about his plans for the 2024-2025 season during the UNC basketball program's media day on Friday afternoon in Chapel Hill.

"I don't think y'all have seen what I'm fully capable of, and that's been the plan, to show it each and every day here in the summer. Just playing my game, playing on the ball like I know I can play on the ball, making plays for my teammates, get to my kill spots, and just being the confident guy, I know that I am."

Seth Trimble is a man on a mission as he aims to prove that he's much more than just an elite defensive player. Utilized as the Tar Heels' sixth man, Trimble showed flashes of his potential offensively, but the hope is that he can be more of a consistent offensive presence for this year's squad.

Don't bet against a man who has something to prove, as Seth Trimble certainly fits that bill. The hope is that we get to see what Trimble is fully capable of as he aims to be a major contributor for this year's new-look squad.
