Sean May knows a thing or two about being a great big man for the UNC basketball program.

It's not a coincidence that May's No. 42 hangs in the rafters at the Dean Smith Center, as he was a First-team All-American while also being named the Most Valuable Player of the 2005 NCAA title team as well as the Most Outstanding Player of the Tar Heels' NCAA Tournament run that season.

Although we're almost 20 (yes, 20!) years removed from that national championship team, May is still making an impact on the UNC basketball program as he looks to recruit the next great big man to make a stop in Chapel Hill.

On Tuesday night, May was in attendance to watch Malachi Moreno of Great Crossing High School in Kentucky. Listed at 7-foot-1, Moreno is a four-star prospect who currently is regarded as the top prospect out of the state of Kentucky (according to 247Sports).

Moreno definitely didn't disappoint, as he scored 26 points on a staggering 13 of 15 from the floor to go along with 11 rebounds.

It's important to note that the UNC basketball program hasn't officially extended an offer to Moreno, but there appears to be plenty of interest on their end.

Although the Tar Heels currently do not have any commitments to their 2025 class, they have been very active in recruiting this highly-touted recruiting class. Expect to see Hubert Davis and his staff ramp up their efforts even more over the next few months, as an offer to Moreno may not be very far off at this point in time.

You could always use an elite big man, as Moreno might end up being that next great player to put on the Carolina Blue.
