Now that we've reached game week, here's the projected depth chart for the UNC football program.
Defensive Line
Starters:
Defensive End: Desmond Evans
Nose Tackle: Joshua Harris Sr.
Defensive Tackle: Kevin Hester
JACK: Kaimon Rucker
Reserves:
Defensive End: Beau Atkinson
Nose Tackle: Travis Shaw
Defensive Tackle: Jahvaree Ritzie
JACK: Mali Hamrick
Kaimon Rucker is the clear star of this unit, but the UNC football program desperately needs its veteran depth at other positions among the defensive line to be productive.
Guys like Desmond Evans, Kevin hester and Joshua Harris Sr. need to help draw some of the attention away from Rucker and must capitalize when they are challenged with one-on-one situations. Rising redshirt sophomore Beau Atkinson could also be a player who could have a breakout campaign among this unit.
