In case you haven't been keeping tabs on Luke Maye lately, it's important to note that the former UNC basketball star is currently playing professionally in Japan.

Of course, Luke, Drake Maye's older brother, is currently in season, so he had a bit of a scheduling conflict that needed to be resolved.

When Maye signed his Japanese league contract, he ensure that he had a unique clause put into place. Thanks, in large part, to the help of his agents, Luke Maye was able to secure a clause that allowed him to leave Japan for Detroit to be on-hand for the 2024 NFL Draft to watch his brother get selected.

The oldest Maye brother traveled 6,000 miles to make it to Detroit for Drake's big night, as it's one that Luke simply wouldn't miss for anything.

Not even his own professional sports career.

Luke Maye is an easy choice for "Brother of the Year," as he simply moved mountains to ensure that he would be there to see his younger brother fulfill his lifelong dream. It also goes to show just how close-knit the Maye family is, as they are the perfect example of what the Carolina family truly is.

The full family will be on-hand in Detroit on Thursday night to celebrate Drake Maye officially beginning his NFL career, as no distance or professional obligations could keep this family from being together for this occasion.
