If it wasn't bad enough that the UNC basketball program suffered another brutal loss on Tuesday night...

Shortly after the Tar Heels dropped a home contest against Clemson, a game in which North Carolina definitely overlooked, some of the team's most important players spoke to the media and voiced their frustration with the team.

Where do we even begin...

Let's start with practice, where Armando Bacot, Harrison Ingram and Hubert Davis all discussed how the practices leading up to this game weren't very good. In one of those practices, Seth Trimble got hurt diving for a loose ball, as his upper-body injury kept him out of Tuesday's contest.

When you listen to what Bacot and Ingram had to say, you almost feel like the Tar Heels knew they were doomed from the word-go, especially with how the players handled this game.

Both players stated that several players showed up late to shoot around and pregame warmups, as Hubert Davis told the media he was "unaware of it."

Now, in past practice (in the Roy Williams era), if you were late for shoot around, you didn't suit up. How is it that Davis isn't aware of his players whereabouts when they are supposed to be with the team?

Listening to Bacot and Ingram after the game was certainly surprising, as this is not an issue you'd expect from a team that's heavily filled with veteran players. However, it did connect the pieces to the puzzle a bit, as we can now understand what led to the Tar Heels lackluster performance on Tuesday night.

Yes, beating Duke at home is very nice and certainly takes a lot of energy out of you. That win also can't be the reason why everyone starts to believe that this UNC basketball team can just walk into a gym and beat anyone.

Clemson came to play, North Carolina didn't, and it's certain that everyone who competes against the Tar Heels this season will come in with that same mentality the Tigers did.

Hopefully this serves as a much-needed wake-up call, because the Tar Heels seem to be getting complacent at a time where they simply can't afford to do so.

We've seen what they've done so far, but this quite frankly is the UNC basketball program's biggest test this season.

How will this group respond?
