The recruitment of five-star Class of 2025 guard Jasper Johnson is beginning to heat up!

On Thursday, the Link Academy standout narrowed his recruitment down to 10 programs, a list that includes Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program.

Moving forward in his recruitment, the 6-foot-4 junior will consider Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri, North Carolina, Southern California, and West Virginia.

In addition to this announcement, Johnson has three tenative official visits scheduled in the near future. The first of those visits will be to Chapel Hill, as he's expected to visit campus on February 3.

According to 247Sports, Jasper is the No. 10 ranked player in the Class of 2025, and currently holds the top spot among players residing from the state of Missouri. Although reclassifying to the Class of 2024 is still an option, it appears that Johnson is aiming to stay in his original graduating class at this point in time.

The Tar Heels could get some help from some Link Academy connections that they have. Elliot Cadeau spent his final high school season at Link Academy, and UNC basketball commit James Brown is a current teammate of Johnson.

Maybe the duo could help lure Johnson to Chapel Hill as well.

Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program have been very active on the recruiting trail, as they've been successful in bringing in some of the top talents available. Johnson would be a huge addition for North Carolina, as his skill set would be a perfect fit in the system that the Tar Heels have in place.

Now that his recuitment is down to 10 schools, we'll have to wait and see if Davis and the Tar Heels can convince Johnson to make his way to Chapel Hill.
