After winning two consecutive road games while having a "bye week" to regroup, the UNC football program returned home looking to continue it's success.
Moving up into the top seven in the national rankings, the Tar Heels threw up a clunker against Wake Forest to crush any hopes of making a push for a top-five spot.
Wake Forest had its way through the air as Hank Bachmeier threw for 338 yards and two scores. The Tar Heels couldn't get it done on third down on either side of the ball, as they converted on just three of 13 opportunities offensively while allowing Wake Forest to convert on six of their third-down chances.
